Myself and rmonkey1 decided to go and have a look down Island Fish Farm in preparation for this saturdays open day.
We arrived around 5 and baited with some free boilies and Pellet.
Rmonkey fished 1 rod on the leger for the carp and also had a dabble catching a few roach, all around the 10oz mark.
I was all guns blazing for the carp, and at around 6 o'clock I had a fast take which chucked the hook after about 15 seconds of splashing on the surface. The next slice of Carp action fell to me on the other rod as the heavens opened and the fish stripped many yards of line before I connected for a mili second before my hooklink gave up. (prob from the previous cast landing in the tree). At this point I was slightly narked and this was echoed around the lake (litterally) with a few choice words!
As the night drew upon us my confidence was low but a couple of beeps soon materialised into a take and eventually I had a fish in the net.
