Forum member "Captain Beaky" achieved his personal best Ling recently whilst wreck fishing off the Isle of Wight. This 19lb 8oz beauty came after the original target wreck was abandoned due to the weather. Very Nice!
A beautiful clear sky, no wind, setting sun and sea lapping up the beach greeted the wightfishing competitors at the monthly shore comp at Brambles, Colwell Bay. We seem to take over ever increasing sections of beach thanks to the increasing turn out each month. It was good to see the new members join in and hopefully they enjoyed the evening.
Species hunter Dan "dlm09" has beaten his personal best Tope this week whilst boat fishing a mile off The Needles. Not only a personal best this 32lb cracker is new site record for wightfishing. If you fancy getting onto our record books then sign up to our free forum now and get involved with the best fishing web site on the Isle of Wight!
