The recent wightfishing 'Try fishing for free' days have been an outstanding success. The days held at Island Fish Farm and Nettlecombe Farm on the 23rd July and 14th August were attended by more than 180 people with 140 taking part in the fishing and free tuition.

70% Of people had never fished before.

22.5% Of participants were female

55% Of canditates were aged between 7-12.

Particular thanks go to the the venue owners and scotties tackle for supplying the bait. We have had some great feedback and are already looking at planning next years event. Well done to the coaches and volunteers who were non stop throughout the events.
