Coarse Day/Eve Session June 1st
Had a half day at work and arrived at the lake for just after 12. Had a wonder around and a chat to a few of the other club members, before setting up to fish a swim with access to a nice bay where fish were showing and also a fair chuck to the island.
Single rod went out with a flouro pop up, into the bay and I settled down into my swim and set up the pole to catch a few silvers in preperation for the evening to try and tempt a perch or 2.
The silvers were jumping onto the hook and after around 25 small roach and perch, i packed away the pole.
At this point a local angler popped in to say hello, and after about 10 mins the baitrunner alerted me to a powerful take which resulted in a nice tench of around 4lb.
The rod was repositioned in the exact same place and after around an hour another speedy take resulted in a 10lb 8oz common.

Well the session then heated up with me landing 7 commons to 13lb 8oz every fish that took my bait.

At around 6pm I also flicked out a livebait for the Perch, I missed the first slow take (because I was playing a carp), and then the second take resulted in a 1lb perch

This was followed by a small pike. With the sun setting I started to pack away the gear.

The final cast on the carp rod brought in this nice tench (sorry about the Poor Photo)

Before i brought it in the last rod, I had a good take on the livebait which i new was going to be an eel, but at 1lb 12oz it was most welcomed and a new species to finish of the session.
