Chale 10/4/2011
Rmonkey and myself made a last minute decision to get out for an evening. With the tide situation and the dry weather we decided on Chale. Well armed with rods strapped across our shoulders we headed down the chine to an empty beach. We picked our spot and began to deploy our traps. within the first 30 mins around 7.45pm I had a couple of good knocks that eventually resulted in a pout, and the first fish of the night. The next hour passed with very little action. So I took this pic for Wizbit (you know how much he loves a scenic shot)

Rich was next to catch with a average sized pout.
I decided to flick a third rod out in search for a bass, and while positioning this I noticed the line extremely slack on the clip down sandeel, trying to tighten up i soon gathered that there must be a fish on the end. Winding hard i managed to connect with and land a nice pollack of around 1lb 8oz.
Rich had another couple of pout, before striking a good knock that resulted in a "bigger" Pout, this one going 14oz a new forum record.

I then had another Pollack on the bass rod, that gave a good little scrap and was a similar size to the first one. Then I had a small doggie, before we both had a couple of strange bites
It was beginning to look like no new species for both of us when rmonkey reeled in a small rockling of the Shore variety (new species for him)
, but not wanting to be outdone 2 good tugs on the 1up 1dn and in came the leapord of the sea. I say leaperd more like cat, I say cat i mean more like mouse. But anyhow here it is a new species and at 10oz a new forum record
